Medical Updates

My throat still hurts. In fact, it hurts worse today, because I've been talking to people. The sinuses still do, too, a little. And I'll spare you the description of the stuff that's coming out of my nose, but at least it's not coming out too often. (Thank you, decongestants!) But I am more-or-less functional today, and was able to make my appointment with the oral surgeon. I now have an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out. Yay.

  1. I was just thinking of you a few minutes ago, and wondering how you'd got on! It still sounds pretty rotten, but I'm glad you could make the appointment. When are you having your wisdom teeth out?

After all that today, can you take things easier tomorrow?

  2. Aww, thanks. I'm getting them out on the 16th, which seems to work out fairly well for me, assuming all goes well.

I could call in sick tomorrow, but if I don't feel any worse, I think I'm going to go in for at least a few hours. I'm so tired of just lying around not feeling well, and part of me is convinced that if I keep telling myself I'm all better, I'll believe it. :)

  3. Hi! B7 Avon addict who just wandered in for the first time.

My sister suggests gargling with half hydrogen peroxide and half water to kill the germs.

    Best of luck.

  4. Hello!

I haven't heard that suggestion before, but I have heard gargling with salt water recommended. I've been meaning to try it.

  5. Salt water works well, for me anyway. Hope every thing goes well on the 16th. Hope you feel better. No, you didnt get your sinus from me!

  6. Salt water (which you'll want warm because it's just nasty when cold) should help with a sore throat. It also happens to be what my oral surgeon suggested I use to clean my mouth after my wisdom teeth were removed, as a toothbrush obviously is out of the question.
