Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Despite the fact that I'm still occasionally producing big globs of snot, and my sleeping patterns are kind of messed up, and my throat still sometimes hurts a bit -- seriously, I didn't have a sore throat this long when I had tonsillitis! -- I'm actually feeling a heck of a lot better today, in that surprising, "Hey, I woke up and somehow wasn't particularly sick!" kind of a way.

So hopefully now you should no longer have to listen to me whining and complaining about feeling ooky, and we can move on to other matters. Like the season premiere of Lost, which I've just now finished watching because I was up at stupid o'clock this morning. How cool is it to finally have that show back, huh?

  1. I'm glad you're feeling so much better today. It's about time! I hope you can get back to normal sleep again soon, too.

Did you enjoy the Lost season premiere? (I won't see it for a while yet.)

  2. Thanks!

With my luck, I'll probably get back to normal sleep just in time to have to switch onto night shifts. :)

And I definitely did enjoy the Lost season premiere. There was a while back in, I think, season 3, where I got kind of bored and vaguely thought about giving up on it, but I'm very glad I stuck with it, because it's doing some extremely intriguing things, and some really good character stuff, too. Heck, I even enjoyed watching the recap.

  3. Heh, I had the same thought about your shift patterns, too, but I was hoping that you were on day shifts until at least the 16th. Having your teeth taken out in the middle of your night would be cruel and unusual indeed...

  4. I am working night shift the weekend before, but I figure I'll come home on Monday morning and just sleep for a few hours, so that I'll be tired at a reasonable hour on Monday night and be able to wake up Tues. morning for my appointment. I don't figure it matters much how alert I am, since I'm not going to be driving, and they're just going to drug me until I'm completely out of it, anyway. :)
