There Goes the Neighborhood
When I went out this afternoon to go do some laundry (always a necessary thing when you've been travelling for two weeks), I noticed that they were getting ready to pick up and move the trailer next to mine. The people on the other side of me bugged out a few months ago, as well, and the one two doors down from me -- correction, that used to be two doors down from me -- has had a "for sale" sign on it for quite some time. All of which has led me to the following thoughts. Thought #1: Is something horribly wrong with this trailer park that I'm not aware of? I mean, it's definitely not an upscale park, as trailer parks go, but it's not remotely as bad as some of the other parks in this town, especially given how cheap the rent is. Yeah, there was that flooding problem last year, but supposedly they've taken steps to improve the drainage since then. (Though, as far as I know, we haven't had any long periods of rain so far this year, so it's impossible to tell yet whether it worked or not.) Thought #2: Gee, I hope it wasn't anything I did! Thought #3: Hey, now I can crank the stereo up at 2 AM, and they'll be nobody near enough to be bothered by it! Yay!
