Why Do They Put These Things Where Vulnerable People Will Be Exposed To Them?

I'm off soon to run some errands in Albuquerque, including a trip to the mall -- an exceedingly rare thing nowadays, given the attractions of online shopping. And I must keep repeating to myself: I will not visit the Barnes & Noble. I will not visit the Barnes & Noble. I will not visit the Barnes & Noble...

  1. So...how was the Barnes & Noble?

  2. No, of course you won't visit the Barnes and Noble. Heh. I hope you didn't find too many things....

  3. You dared go to The Maul during Christmas shopping season?!

  4. You'll notice I went in the middle of the day on a Monday. When I probably should have been working, really, but I've got lots of vacation time, and there was no way in hell I was doing it on the weekend.

  5. I accompanied Froggy to Idiotville yesterday (we had no choice; the battery store and Home Depot are there). Traffic was much lighter than I've ever seen it. Maybe going while everyone else is at work is a good idea, even during Christmas shopping season. Maybe.

  6. Oh, I heartily recommend it, yes. For me, traffic around the mall was about as bad as it usually is at normal times of the year, but the traffic going into the city was dead. You just have to keep an eye on the clock and be sure to make yourself scarce by rush hour. :)
