And Keep Those Damned Kids Off My Lawn!

It's official. I am well into the process of turning into a crotchety old woman. Today, I sent a snarky e-mail to the company that makes my usual brand of shampoo complaining about the really annoying caps they've just switched to on their bottles.

I feel like Grampa Simpson.

  1. That's OK...I feel your pain. The other day my husband and I were complaining about the loud neighbors kids. Then we had to go and do something childish to compensate...

  2. I know what you mean, there are these like 11/12 year old boys across the street who think it's funny to periodic ring the doorbell and ask for different people. Everytime I see them, I've got my eye on them. I keep these "Those punk kids".

  3. ATTENTION BRITISH MAXIMUM VERBOSITY READERS:
Ok so hubby is going to England, maybe Wales too in May. OK my understanding is the island containing England,Wales and Scotland is called "Great Britain". However the country is actually the United Kingdom(of Great Britain and Northern Island) So why in sporting events do the always use Great Britain as the name of the country the athlete is from if it's not a country!!!!!See wouldn't that offend people from Northern Ireland, or maybe that's one of the problems

  4. whoooppps I typed "Northern Island" instead of "Northern Ireland"

  5. So does it mean the punk kids at my apartment complex are really bad if they do stuff like set fire to a couch that someone left behind the dumpster, necessitating a visit from the fire department? :)

Keep in mind, I live in a fairly nice part of town, too...

  6. We live in an age restricted village. Man, these old geezers have some rightous parties. They stay up until sometimes 10pm. Oh, what I have to put up with.

  7. Thanks, guys, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's on my way to crotchety geezerhood. :)

Also, Dad, may I just say: LOL!

  8. Oh, and Kathy: I think perhaps the Northern Irish people would rather not be lumped in with the British. But you'd have to ask them. :)

  9. To Kathy.

In some sporting events Northern Ireland combines with the Republic to form an All Ireland team. In other sports all four home nations (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) have separate organisations.

And our international designation letters are GB, not UK.
