I'm Walking on Solar Radiation!

I am in an unreasonably good mood today. Which is nice, because I've had far too many irritable, unproductive moods going for far too long.

While the real reason probably has to do with some strange quirk of my brain chemistry combined with what I've eaten, the amount of sleep I've had, and what's in that cough syrup I've been drinking, I am nevertheless inclined to credit it to the cool new Doctor Who t-shirt I'm wearing and the fact that I just got the new Weird Al Yankovic album.

It's the small, nerdy things in life that give me pleasure.

  2. I had to work in the evening, so I didn't get the chance to see it. I'm planning on watching it some time today.

  5. The "29th of Nov. Invasion" doesn't have quite the ring of "The Christmas Invasion" somehow. :)

  6. John, this is a big invasion for us because we havnt been to NM since 1994. Your right too. I hope this invasion can be a Christmas invasion as well. Thanks for the thought.

    Betty: Hi

  7. I hope you have fun. :)

I'm not sure if you're aware, but "The Christmas Invasion" is the title of the 2005 Dr Who Christmas special, which probably hasn't been broadcast in the US yet. (I'm in Britain, myself.)

  8. It was broadcast here last week. :)

  9. Yes, and it was only so-so for me.

  10. I think it improves a lot once the Doctor actually wakes up. :)

  11. That what Gary and I thought. I didn't like the beginning of the episode at all but it got a lot better, once he woke up :)

  12. Kathy; once who woke up. Gary or the Doctor. Oh slap my face for that comment

  13. Oh. Oct 11, 1986. Exactly 20 years ago. Remember?

  14. Happy anniversary Wednesday!!!

And again my lack of proofreading that should have read "that's what Gary and I thought".

    By the way,nice joke Dad!!!

I think we should keep watching from what Betty is saying it is a bit uneven but there will be some great episodes.

Also, anyone else watching Jericho. Gary and I agreed it was interesting enough to keep watching until they ran out of material that deals with the nuclear attack :)

  15. Dad: Happy Anniversary! Although I hope you'll forgive me for not remembering... I don't know if you recall, but I made a deal with the whole family quite a while back: I'll remember everybody's birthdays, and nobody's anniversaries. (Well, I can't help remembering Kathy's, because she sneakily tied the two of them together, but that still doesn't mean she gets a card. :)) Twenty years is impressive, though! Congrats!

Kathy: Yes, that's exactly my opinion of it. I didn't dislike "The Christmas Invasion," actually, but to my mind the other one they showed, "New Earth," was pretty weak, although the humor does help it. There are some damned good episodes later, though. And a few controversial love-'em-or'hate-'em ones, which are always interesting.

I haven't been watching Jericho at all. How is it?

  16. Like I said it's interesting enough to keep watching until they run out of material involving the nuclear attack.

  17. I would think one could get quite a lot of mileage out of a nuclear attack.

  18. I hope Korea doesnt get mileage from their tests.

  19. Yeah, I'll heartily second that one.
