Fireflying

I managed to miss the second episode of Firefly when it was on, because I overslept and by the time I even got out of bed, it was half over. Fortunately, though, I was once again able to borrow it from a friend who had it on tape, and I finally watched it tonight.

So far, I am definitely liking this show. After two episodes, I'm only just getting to the point where I can keep all their names straight, but I'm already developing a feeling of affection for this little crew of rogues. (Well, except for Jayne, who's an asshole. But even he is kind of an amusing asshole.) And the universe they inhabit seems like a fairly promising setting. The plots so far have featured a few cliches (like this week's "ghost ship"), but even the cliches are handled pretty well (better than Enterprise handles them, for sure), so I'm inclined to be forgiving.

I'll definitely be watching this one regularly. I'm very interested to see where it's going to go from here.
