Here, Have Some Random Links

Chuck & Beans: Cartoon demonstrating the fact that some childhood games will not last a full afternoon.

Night of the Living Trekkies: Book Trailer: I've never quite understood the idea of book trailers. Dude, it's a book. A book is not a movie. Why try to pretend it is? But never mind. This trailer is so awesome that, yes, I went right out and ordered the book. So I guess sometimes they do work.

Library-Scented Perfume: I don't think I need it. I'm normally surrounded by this smell most of the time, anyway.

Zilch: Meet the flash game that's addicted me most recently. Roll the dice! Get lots of points! Or not!

  1. Night of the Living Trekkies: Hee! Are you sure that's not a real film, written by and starring Simon Pegg? One of my regrets about my life is that so far it's been entirely devoid of green-skinned, scantily clad alien women. I suppose that I could rectify that by going to a Star Trek convention. :)

  2. Alas, I don't recall any Vulcans in Shaun of the Dead. Which is too bad, as that's probably the only thing that could have made it even better.

And, yes, if you're looking for scantily clad green women, a Trek con is probably your best bet. :)

  3. My friend Gimpy often orders me books via E-bay. I then need to provide feedback to pass along to the vendor. After opening one, I said, "It smells like a library." He included that in the feedback, and the vendor replied, "Huh?" I guess that's why s/he was selling books so cheaply.

Still, if you want the smell of a library, why not just visit a library?

  4. See, I would take "it smells like a library" as a good thing. But, y'know, if I went the smell of a library, I just fill my house with books. Although I think it really is more of a used bookstore smell. Mainly in the paperback room. :)
