Please Send Caffeine

Was awake for 23 hours yesterday. Slept for 4 1/2. Will not be able to sleep again for another 20.

Days like this, I'm glad my job doesn't involve performing surgery.

  1. Further evidence that the VLA is used as death rays to stop invasions from alien civilizations. Long shifts and battle readiness at all times...

Nor anything to do with controlling nuclear facilities or warheads.

  6. With a schedule like that, I'm not sure I'd want my job to involve anything at all.

    I hope you're managing.

  7. Thanks.

It's not always this bad... This is always the worst part of the rotation. I've worked much worse schedules, to be honest, but I've sure as heck worked better ones, too.

I only slept for another four hours when I got home, so things still kind of suck, but that means that I should be able to go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight and be back on a day schedule where I need to be for Thursday.

  8. It's a heck of a switch, when you think how long we'd give ourselves if we'd just flown to the other side of the world.

That sounds hopeful for tonight; I hope you can get some more sleep then.
