Next Week: Complete Lyrics To "You All Everybody" Revealed!

Speaking of TV shows that don't deliver answers as promised by their marketing, I think this the ads and previews for the most recent Lost should have said, "This week, we spend an entire hour answering one question nobody actually gives a rat's ass about."

Honestly, is a little truth in advertising too much to ask?

  1. In all fairness to the show creators, Cuse and Lindelof talked about this on the most recent official podcast, saying that maybe one sort of mystery was revealed but they wished ABC promotions wouldn't play it up like that.

I haven't actually seen the episode yet, so I couldn't say. But I do think the promotion of the show is largely out of their hands.

  2. Oh, I know. It's really unfair to blame writers for marketing stuff, and it's pretty much a given that the marketing people will say any damned thing that they thing will get them eyeballs on the screen -- after all, that's their job. But the fact that they're getting paid to do it doesn't mean I have to like it. And in this case, I do kind of have a beef with the writers, too... They've spent way too much time so far this season, IMHO, dwelling on stuff that has ceased to interest me much, at the expense of all kinds of interesting things still waiting to be delved into.
