Spaced Penguin: A nifty little game that involves slingshotting a flying penguin around planets. Disturbingly addictive, but at least you can pretend it's educational.

The Dialectizer: Give it a URL, and it "translates" the page into a goofy dialect.

Duct Tape on the Web: Yes, it's a web site devoted to duct tape.

Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day: Augment your vocabulary! Site also features an online dictionary and various word games.

The Offical "Weird Al" Yankovic Website: Al is a comic genius, and if you ask me, he actually sings better than half the people he's parodying.

Mr. Cranky's Movie Reviews: The gimmick is, Mr. Cranky hates everything.

The Spark: Still more silly tests, among other things.

The Keirsey Temperament Sorter: This one's actually a serious personality test.

Think Geek: Where real geeks buy their geek supplies. Among other things, they'll sell you Jolt by the case.

Intergalactic Trading Company: Lots of sci-fi merchandise.

Space.com: News and information about astronomy, the space program, space technology, etc.

Star Trek Humor: Big collection of Trek-related humor, not all of which is guaranteed to be funny.

K'Pinky and the Brain: Pinky and the Brain, as Klingons. Hey, I just link to it, I don't come up with this stuff.

OK, that's probably enough to keep you mindlessly entertained for hours. I know it certainly had that effect on me. More later, perhaps.
