Stupid Lungs. If I Didn't Need Them To Live, They'd Be So Fired.

Last week's cold has now thoroughly settled into my lungs and turned itself into a nice little bout of bronchitis. Sigh. And here I was doing so well lately, too. I don't think I've come down with a case for a couple of years now, which is probably some kind of record for me.

I feel like I ought to set up a betting pool as to how long it'll last this time. I'm gonna be semi-optimistic and say a month and a half.

  1. I hope that your "semi-optimistic" turns out to be cery pessimistic, and that you get over it much faster than that.

The characters that I had to tyoe in as an anti-spam measure turned out to be "chooffo". I liked that. If it's not a word, then I feel it ought to be. :)

  2. Thanks. I may get lucky and everything'll be clear in a few days, rather than a few months.

Actually, my chest didn't really bother me much for the rest of the day after I wrote this post. However, what I thought was just a bit of lingering stuffiness after the cold appears to be getting worse rather than better, so I'm suspecting what my body is doing is something along the lines of, "Hmm, shall we try some bronchitis? Nah, this is boring. How about something new? Oooh, sinus infection?" Aargh. It all needs to just stop now, please. Coughing because stuff is dripping down my throat from my sinuses isn't much better than coughing because stuff is coming up from my lungs.

And I have no idea what "chooffo" ought to mean, but it certainly ought to mean something. :)

  3. "Chooffo" sounds like a cough and a sneeze combined. I Hope you will feel better soon.

  4. Thanks. I do feel a bit better today, I think. I remembered I had some steroid nasal spray left over from the last time allergy season seriously kicked my ass, and I think maybe it's helping with the sinuses, at least.
