Note To American Who Fans
In case you haven't figured out by now that watching the Sci Fi channel's "scenes from next week" previews is a really bad idea... Well, it's still a really bad idea, apparently. I haven't seen the one the aired after Friday's episode, myself, but from what I hear it's every bit as bad as the one they did for "Utopia." So if you haven't watched the episode yet and you don't want to be hideously spoiled, be sure and hit "stop" as soon as the episode finishes. Seriously, I mean it.

Why does Sci-Fi only do this at the end of the season?
ReplyDeleteI think the real reason is because if they show the Shocking Cliffhanger Ending, or whatever it is we get at the end of episodes towards the end of seasons, it'll hook more people into watching, which is the only thing they care about. But I can't quite quash the part of my brain that fully believes that it's because they hate their viewers. :/
ReplyDeleteOk I just watched the episode and the scenes from next week and all I can say is Sci Fi channel sucks!!! What the hell is that big cliffhanger oh my god and bam!! It wasn't a surprise to me but really.
ReplyDeletejust to clarify I was referring to the one show after "The Stolen Earth"
ReplyDeleteYou know, in the UK they didn't even show a trailer after "The Stolen Earth." It was just: big cliffhanger, dramatic "TO BE CONTINUED" and absolutely nothing to hint at what would happen next. It was very effective.
ReplyDeleteI just talked to someone else who'd just watched it, and from what she was saying, they did, indeed, give away yet again more major plot points in that one. Sigh.
