It seems like all the great talents I grew up reading are about gone now. I guess this is how you tell you're starting to get older, but I sure don't have to like it.
Farewell, Arthur C. Clarke. No matter what I might think of those Rama sequels, you were a great author and a hell of a visionary, and I'm sorry the planet's lost you.

I'm just sorry he didn't get to see any evidence of extra-terrestrial life during his lifetime. He will be missed.
