Maybe I'll Take The Red Pill.

So, I have been doing some research on cars, desperately trying to figure out what the heck I want to buy. My mother suggested a Dodge Dart as being very similar to the old Neon I have now, which is a car I've been very happy with. And those look perfectly fine, as well as within my price range. But after my experiences wrangling that giant TV back from Albuquerque, and reflecting on all the other times I've fit stuff into that Neon that really should not have fit in a Neon, I've started thinking that it might actually be really nice to go with a hatchback. I'm leaning rather strongly at the moment towards the Toyota Matrix. I read a couple of reviews of it, which were generally extremely positive, with the single complaint that it's "not very exciting to drive." Frankly I prefer my driving to be as unexciting as possible, so that's fine by me. Anybody have any experience with these, or any other useful advice? If I can get myself out of procrastination mode soon enough, maybe I'll go up to Albuquerque later this week and see about meeting some in person.

  1. Since you're the one who lost a wheel when driving, I entirely agree that your journey should be as unexciting as possible from now on.

Perhaps websites like Consumer Reports or Cars.com might have ratings to peruse.

    1. Well, I wasn't exactly driving. I was sitting at a stop sign. Still, point taken. :)

I have been looking at various car-related websites, some of which have helpful reviews. Consumer Reports requires a subscription to show you anything useful, though.

  2. Try Kelly Blue Book. kbb.com. They are on of the most realistic reviews and costs.
Your choice of the Matrix might be good.
