Nothin' Since February

You know what I no longer believe in? Rain. I no longer believe in the existence of rain.

  1. We've had rain -- it's that thing when water falls from the darkened skies, right? -- though much less recently, and never for extended periods.

  2. I've heard that's what it is, but I don't think that can possibly be true. Because when the skies darken, nothing else ever happens. At most, on very, very rare occasions, if you happen to be outside at exactly the right time, you may feel a drop... two... five... and then nothing. And you're left thinking maybe it was just the wind blowing the spray from someone's sprinkler, after all. That's happened twice in the last few months. It was exciting. Briefly.

Seriously, I don't think we have had any measurable precipitation since those big snowstorms in February. Even for New Mexico, it's freaking dry.
