For Some Reason, This Sort Of Thing Only Happens When I'm On Day Shifts.

Last night I woke up at 3:30 after a nightmare in which my mother was attacked by zombies, and I found myself facing the prospect of a post-apocalyptic future with no coffee. Finally, I managed to get back to sleep, only fall into another dream in which I was back in high school and trying desperately to finish writing an essay right before class on the day it was due.

What the hell, brain? What did I do to you?

  1. I'm no doctor, but I blame it on your shiftwork.

    1. I almost never seem to have strange dreams -- or at least to remember them -- unless I have to be up early in the morning, especially if I'm awakened by an alarm clock. So maybe if I were actually working constant day shifts like normal people it would happen even more often. I really don't know.

    2. Except I had still more freaky, violent dreams last night... Still more-or-less day-person-y, but no alarm clock. I have no idea what it all means.
