It's been a busy weekend for me! Last night, I went to see Penn & Teller in Albuquerque. Why they were playing in Albuquerque, I don't know, but I'm not complaining. I've been a big fan of these guys from their TV appearances and such for ages, but despite the number of times I've somehow ended up in Las Vegas, I've never, ever managed to catch their show (aka the one thing in Las Vegas I'm actually interested in, at least since the Star Trek Experience closed). Anyway, it was a fun evening of magic, comedy and skepticism, and I enjoyed it greatly.
Then today I went to a wedding, which was also fun. (Congratulations, Jarrod & Chelsi!) How could I not approve of a ceremony that involved holding a copy of Carl Sagan's Cosmos rather than a Bible and was eventually followed by a toast expressing a hope for the happy couple to "live long and prosper"? Geeky weddings, they are the best weddings. And the food was great. Also, I seem to have talked the bride and groom into taking my spare kitten. Score!
