Cat Anecdote Of The Day

I just ate a grilled chicken sandwich. Apparently my fingers now smell/taste like chicken, because Nova keeps trying to eat them.

  1. Betty,

Hi. It's Eun Sook from Cherry Hill High School West. I was just talking to Rick Perry from West. I am in Texas on vacation. Harlingen to be exact. I will be going to see Rick and his family this Friday. I will be staying in Texas til September 13 or the 14th. Not sure, yet. It would be great to catch up to see how you are.

  2. Wow! Hello! Weirdly enough, I was just thinking about you the other day.

Unfortunately, you're going to be pretty much the entire state of Texas away from me, but I'll give you a call at some point. :)

  3. Hey, Betty,

That is odd, huh? How wondrous the universe works to connect people who are thinking about eachother! Anyway, It's Sunday, and I am in of course, leisure mode throughout this month.

Call me so we can chat in real time, if you are not too busy.

  4. I do love those sorts of coincidences. :) And it's good to hear from you!

Alas, I am pretty busy today -- I have to go out in a couple of hours, and I have a few things I've got to do before then. But I can call you sometime during the week. Or, possibly better, you can call me whenever it's convenient for you. I'm working very irregular hours, but anytime you can get me at home, we can chat. 575-835-3034.

  5. Betty,

let's have conversations here with Bret in this format. it may be easiest and quickest for everyone to see. or we could also have a teleconference in a three way conversation. I am sure by now we all have that capability on our phones.

again, it was great catching up.

  6. betty,

just out of vain curiosity, what made you think about me the other day? Your name came up in conversation with Rick Perry from West b/c we were reminiscing.

    ..just wondering...

  7. Oh, I think it was because Robocop was on somewhere, and I remembered watching it on VHS with you.

  8. 1) Chicken fingers - bwa-ha-ha!
    2) Oh, the stories we could tell from high school - but we don't have the space here.
    3) Thanks for the geography lesson. :) Unfortunately, Harlingen isn't near any of the airports I might have a layover in when I visit NM (and hopefully Betty) next month - if my layovers even are in TX.
    4) I'm not as comfortable posting my phone number here, so I'll give you a call. Good to hear from you again, Eun Sook!

  9. See the e-mail I just sent you! We may actually be able to meet up in NM, though there are no solid plans whatsoever as of yet.

And I hesitated at posting my own phone number, until it occurred to me that, you know, I'm in the phone book, and anybody could find it in about two seconds, anyway, online. :)

  10. guys,

I will not be coming to NM. It will cost me over $400 for rental car and gas and etc. so , I think that I will reconsider this drive and trip to NM. However, we can meet somewhere on the telephone or in the middle between here and Socorro, NM. I can do half the mileage- instead of 995 miles, I can do about 450. That would bring my expense to $200. consider this. If not, we cannot meet. sorry.

  11. Aww, that's too bad. I'm not sure about the meeting-in-the-middle plan... I may be able to do it, but I wouldn't count on it. :(

Oh, well, maybe some other time. I'm really glad to hear from you, anyway, and, sure, we can definitely talk on the phone even if we can't meet in person!

  12. sure, we can talk on the p hone. talk to you, later.
