Two Temporal Complaints

1. I do not want this "extra" hour. All it means is that we're calling the time I got up this morning "8 AM" instead of "9 AM." This will not be helpful tomorrow when I have to work until midnight (or, the hour formerly known as 1 AM). *insert usual anti-Daylight Savings rant here*

2. I liked Christmas a lot better when it didn't last for two fucking months. Gaah!

  1. Only two? I need to return to NM. Some stores here (and I'm not even talking about craft stores) had Christmas merchandise on display before Labor Day.

  2. Geez. Wasn't there a cartoon or something about a kid who wished it was Christmas every day, got the wish granted, and realized what a nightmare scenario that is? I think we're living that. We have learned nothing from our cautionary tales.

  3. I've managed to avoid most Christmas decorations and hoopla so far, although my iPod keeps shuffling in carols a lot more than usual, I've noticed. (Or possibly imagined.)

  4. This weekend, I was in a store where they weren't just selling candy canes, they were already playing Christmas music. It's insane.

  5. Well, there's only so much profit in Thanksgiving merchandise, and almost no such thing as Thanksgiving music.

  6. Maybe there should be. I'll start writing some. :)
